Could you become a Reece’s Rainbow family? You’ll find many others marching through the journey with you, families like Shelly’s. Shelly and her family traveled to Eastern Europe to bring two healthy little girls home. After gathering their babies in the safety of their love, the girls’ new parents discovered three-year-old Carrington needed immediate medical attention.
Carrington only weighed three pounds, and her parents admitted her to the hospital as soon as the family reached the U. S. Doctors said Carrington would not have lived one more day without medical help. Her body was shutting down from starvation. Even with a feeding tube, Carrington was unable to keep down five cc’s of food per hour.
But! With much tender loving care and prayer, Carrington finally got to go home with her new mama and daddy after a month in the hospital. The entire family rejoices as well as many others who have watched Carrington’s story across the world. To read more of the story yourself, please read Carrington’s Courage.
About Compassionate Creativity: As a mom of young children, I search for opportunities for them to serve others. When I decided to host a fundraiser for Bennett, I wanted it to be specifically kid-friendly. Would you and your family like to help Bennett find a home? I still need more contributions of art, poetry, photography, and short fiction. Please read more about the fundraiser here.
