Lady in the Park by Danny P. Barbare
The elderly lady in the park
Is reading a book while
Sitting on a bench. In
The wind, she is not
Audible. But the book
Is black, and she seems
Sincere, as if it is a bible.
And nothing seems less
Foreign than the songbirds
That sing and even the crow
That caws as the religion
Of lovely spring is in the air.
